"TLF Approach to Handwriting"

Description

From her many years of experience, Ms Teo Lee Fun, as an Occupational Therapist by profession, has incorporated ideas from HWT and multi-sensory strategies to develop handwriting skills to suit each individual's needs.

During this hands-on workshop, among other things you will learn to:

  • recognise, identify and rectify your child's handwriting weakness
  • create your own handwriting programme and make it fun
  • include flexible ways to adapt to your child's unique needs
  • be creative, innovative and patient

This workshop will be filled with practical activities and strategies to help parents and teachers to get into the attitude of "Saya boleh" or "I can do it!"

Participants are required to bring pencils and colour pencils.

About the trainer:

Teo Lee Fun is an occupational therapist trained in New Zealand and has been working many years in this field. She is SIPT (sensory integration praxis test) certified with the University of Southern California(USC/WPS). She has also attended professional training in areas such as sensory integration, NDT, MORE approach, Samonas and Therapeutic Listening. Ms Teo has a special interest working with children with learning difficulties and sensory integrative dsyfunction. She has given seminars, lectures and conducted numerous workshops for parents, teachers and others involved with children with special needs.
